The Butterfly Club was founded about three years ago. Their goal was to produce butterflies around the school grounds and collect them for the biology classes. They did this by planting various plants, flowers and bushes that would attract Butterflies.

Off and on there are about ten to fifteen students who volunteer to help out with the Butterfly Garden. Due to the dry weather conditions that Texas is known for they havent been very successful in attracting the butterflies.

Although it has been rough for them they are not giving up. through the winter they prepare for the up coming spring. For a better turn out this time a round, they are hoping to have more volunteers students and parents too. Also if you have any community service hours this is a fun and benefitting way to get rid of them, and also depending on your teacher you might be able to get some biology extra credit out of it.
